The Filigree Bamboo Whisk (Chasen) is made by hand from a piece of golden bamboo and with 80 struts. With the fine bristles, Matcha tea can be whisked quickly and easily into a foamy consistency. Essential for the traditional preparation of Matcha tea.

To use the whisk, it should be placed in water with the struts down for 1 minute before each use. This prevents the struts from breaking when stirring.

CARE: After use, it is important to clean the Matcha Whisk with water only and not to use dish soap. To do this, simply hold the whisk under warm water and gently wipe it with your hands. Alternatively, you can soak the whisk in warm water for 1 minute. After that, the usual preparation of Matcha should be repeated completely without Matcha Powder to clean the whisk optimally. Now shake out the whisk over the sink and be sure to let it dry with the struts facing down. Otherwise, mold could form in the handle.
